Kathrikai murungakai Poricha Kuzhambu - Brinjal drumstick curry
Ingredients:
- Drumstick -1
- Brinjal - 3-4
- Onion - 1 medium size
- garlic - 5 cloves
- tomato - 3
- tamarind - small lemon sized /tamarind paste -3/4 spoon
- chillie powder -2 1/2 spoons
- turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- oil - 5 table spoons
- curry leaves - little
- cumin seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Method:
- Heat oil in the pan and add mustard seeds,curry leaves and cumin seeds / vadagam
- Then add Onion and garlic and saute it for few min.
- Add Brinjal , Drumstick and fry it for 3 min.
- Then add tomato, saute it for few min and add chillie powder,turmeric powder,water and salt Close the pan for 5- 7 min.
- Then add the tamarind paste.Boil for few min.
- smash garlic,little cumin seeds,curry leaves and keep it in a vessel aside.
- Now transfer the pan contents to the vessel.
